Acceptable Use Policy for Unlimited Services

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy for Unlimited Services (“AUPUS”) governs the reasonable use of Joonto’s unlimited voice, SMS, and data services. By using Joonto’s unlimited services, you agree to comply with this AUPUS. This policy is designed to ensure fair usage and to prevent abuse of Joonto’s network resources.

2. Definition of Reasonable Use

2.1 Voice Minutes

Unlimited Voice: For users with unlimited voice plans, the average usage should not exceed 1,000 minutes of voice calls per month.

Excessive Usage: Usage and may result in additional charges or plan adjustments.

2.2 SMS and MMS Messages

consistently exceeding 1,000 minutes per month is considered excessive

Unlimited SMS/MMS: For users with unlimited SMS/MMS plans, the combined inbound and outbound messages should not exceed 400 messages per month.

Excessive Usage: Usage consistently exceeding 400 messages per month is considered excessive and may result in additional charges or plan adjustments.

2.3 Data Usage

Unlimited Data: For users with unlimited data plans, the maximum average data consumption should not exceed 10GB per month per user.

Pooling: Data can be pooled within an account to accommodate varying usage patterns among multiple users on the same account.

Excessive Usage: Usage consistently exceeding 10GB per month per user or pooled account limits is considered excessive and may result in additional charges, plan adjustments, or throttling.

3. Enforcement of Reasonable Use

3.1 Additional Charges

Voice and SMS/MMS: Users exceeding the reasonable use limits may be charged additional fees. The rates are approximately $0.03 per minute for voice calls and $0.02 per SMS or MMS message.

Data: Users exceeding the data limit may incur additional charges or have their service throttled to manage network resources.

3.2 Plan Adjustments

Upgrade: Joonto reserves the right to upgrade users to a higher monthly recurring rate or plan if their usage consistently exceeds the reasonable limits.

Notification: Users will be notified of any changes to their plan or additional charges before they are applied.

3.3 Throttling

Data Throttling: Joonto may throttle data speeds for users who consistently exceed the 10GB monthly limit to ensure fair access to network resources for all users.

Joonto provides emergency services as an add-on option, which is not enabled by default. This policy ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and provides guidelines for opting in and out of emergency services.

2. Provision of Emergency Services

Joonto offers access to emergency services as an optional add-on to its primary communication services. By opting into Joonto’s emergency services, you agree to comply with this policy and all applicable regulations.

2.1 Default Settings

Opt-In Required: Emergency services are not enabled by default. Users must explicitly opt in to activate emergency services (such as e911).

Primary Line Assumption: Joonto assumes that the primary line (SIM/eSIM) on a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) device includes emergency services. Joonto’s emergency services are supplementary.

3. Opting In and Out of Emergency Services

Users can opt in or out of Joonto’s emergency services at any time. The following guidelines apply:

Activation: Users must explicitly request activation of emergency services through Joonto’s customer portal or by contacting customer support.
